About Steven Hill
FORTY YEARS IN AND STILL CRANKING IT UP
As soon as I could play, I began writing songs. As soon as I could write songs, I was recording — two tape recorders in my parents’ basement became my first studio. That was the start of a journey that’s lasted over four decades.
I’ve spent my life chasing the music — performing, recording, and experimenting across stages and studios. I play guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals, pouring every ounce of passion into every note. My music blends the raw power of hard rock with the adventurous spirit of progressive rock, creating songs that hit hard and stick with you.
Musical Influences
Rush, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Van Halen and Triumph to Dream Theater, Wolfmother, Tom Petty...and everything in between. These legends shaped my sound, from epic riffs and soaring vocals to progressive grooves and intricate arrangements. They taught me that rock can be powerful, melodic, and endlessly creative — lessons that have guided me through every recording and performance.
The Journey Continues
From basement recordings to live stages and studio sessions, my work is driven by a love of music and a desire to create something real. This site is a place to explore that journey: listen to tracks, watch performances, and follow the story as it continues.
